The Latam Hydrogen Intelligence Service is a quarterly 2 hour, live analyst presentation and interactive Q&A session covering the key projects, policy changes and analysis of key market sectors across the Latin American markets.

Why is it important?

Interest in hydrogen is developing at a pace across the continent of Latin America with Chile leading and followed by Mexico. Chile has a strong energy intensive mining sector but poor domestic fossil fuel resources. It has world leading renewable energy resources with the wind of Patagonia and the sun of the Atacama Desert. With a history of pioneering utility scale solar the country is used to taking a lead in the continents energy transition and the hydrogen project pipelines are building strongly.

What is the background to hydrogen in Latin America?

Across the Continent there is much heavy industry to decarbonise be it from mining to steel and ample resources both from green hydrogen and equally blue hydrogen. Latin America is energy thirsty and it’s young population set to demand ever more energy, energy that has to be clean.
