World Hydrogen Leaders is hosting the North America Hydrogen Experts webinar series in 2024 - a series of hydrogen expert interviews, lasting approximately 2 hours, which will offer exclusive access to insights from pioneers shaping regional adoption.

The first webinar in this series was about the seven US hydrogen hubs, announced in OCT of 2023. The second webinar was about mitigating risk in hydrogen project development. The third webinar will build on the excitement surrounding recent low-carbon ammonia projects to review blue and green ammonia production in the US in general and along the US Gulf Coast in specific.

Panelists have been invited from both ammonia project developers as well as ammonia production technology and equipment firms. Hack Heyward from World Hydrogen Leaders and the Houston H2 Ecosystem will host a discussion panel, together with co-host Ammonia Energy Association (AEA).

This session will cover:

US historical ammonia imports and possible transition to net exporter before 2030
US Gulf Coast ammonia export terminal best-practice
Influence of 45Q CCS tax credits and IRA on "blue" ammonia production
Factors leading to final investment decision (FID) for ammonia projects
Ammonia shipping requirements and construction and operation of very large ammonia carriers (VLAC)
Progress towards a global low-carbon ammonia certification scheme
