Meet the instructor

Olivier Maronneaud leads the practice covering the methanol industry and its downstream derivatives as well as the research relative to plastic circularity within S&P Commodity Insight. Olivier joined the company, previously called IHS Markit in 2013 and spent 4 years in the research and analytics team with a focus on the methanol and acetyls industries. Between 2017 and 2021, Olivier worked in the chemical consulting practice, leading bespoke projects and studies for clients in the EMEA region. Olivier started his career working for Arkema in France where he was product manager for PVC with both commercial and marketing responsibilities. Olivier graduated in business administration from Grenoble Graduate School of Business in France.
